I must have driven my Mitsubishi back and forth through that jungle for at least 45 minutes, all told.īut never fear, I found the damn thing. This hunt drove me nuts, and even after I had found all of the other barn cars in the game, I still couldn't find the thing. But there was one, in the southern portion of the map, that has players searching in the densest jungle area in the game, back and forth, through rivers and streams (and one corner of an ancient city). I found most of the barn cars pretty quickly, after maybe a minute or two of hunting. I would drop everything and zip right over there to start the hunt. Most players will probably poke around a little bit then next time they are in the area, but I was obsessed. The game will highlight a decent-sized space on the map - probably about one square mile. Occasionally, Horizon 5 will ping the player, noting that there is a car hidden in a barn somewhere on the map. As I noted in my review, one of my favorite mechanics in the game is the barn car treasure hunt. Heres where to find them all, and how to unlock them. Written by Marco Wutz on behalf of GLHF.If you are anything like me, you won't rest until you have located every single barn car in Forza Horizon 5. Forza Horizon 5 launched with 14 cars hidden in barns all over its huge Mexico map. To help in finding the exact locations of the barn finds you can use the drone. Those who can’t or don’t want to wait for that can shell out credits to motivate the mechanics. They appear in the player’s garage immediately after they are found, but it takes a while until they are ready for their maiden voyage – they need to be repaired. The discovered cars all look about as battered as the barns in which they rot. The barn is on the left side of the main road when youre driving south to north. #14: Ferrari F40 Competizione – random unlock The fifth barn find is a 1971 Plymouth Cuda 426 Hemi, sitting in a barn in Montano Plains.#13: Dodge Viper GTS ACR – random unlock.#12: Dodge Dart Hemi Super Stock – random unlock.#11: GMC Jimmy – unlocked by reaching the top of the central ruin during the Apex expedition.#10: Jaguar Sport XJR-15 – unlocked by finding the lost notes during the Wilds expedition.#9: Toyota #1 T100 Baja Truck – random unlock.#8: Ford Racing Escort MK1 – unlocked by collecting volcano samples during the Baja expedition.#7: Porsche 911 Carrera RS – random unlock. And that’s how you claim Barn Find cars in Forza Horizon 5. Simply select the vehicle and it will be added to your garage. If you have a vehicle that is ready, this is where you claim it. This will bring up a list of all of the Barn Find vehicles in the game. #3: Ford Mustang GT2+2 Fastback – random unlock Make sure you’re on the Garage tab and then select the Barn Finds option.(For the very impatient, there is a DLC pack called “Treasure Map” that unlocks all barn finds immediately). So there’s no point in knowing all the locations in advance and driving off since the valuable cars aren’t even there yet. One important note: barn finds only pop up on the map when you hear the rumor. These are available during expeditions in the Apex, Baja and Wilds areas, which appear quite early in the game. The cars you can acquire from the Barn Finds range from legendary rally cars, classic muscle cars, and record settings supercars. This excludes three rumors that you can actually unlock yourself via completing side missions. A total of fourteen Barn Find locations are scattered across Forza Horizon 5. The game gradually feeds drivers with clues – you can’t influence this in any way, so just play and take them as they come. When, how many and which rumors you hear is pure chance. Exploring this area should then quickly reveal the source of the rumors. If you pick up these messages, a marker will appear over the corresponding area on the map, revealing a vague location. Players will keep hearing rumors during their adventures about rare cars that are hidden somewhere. Barn finds gradually appear in a random order in the game – at least in most cases.
